Remembering to Say π§ Thanks π¦
Hello, Precious One!
In todayβs PICTURES post I offer visual refreshment for those who live on land that is parched this time of year. And a prompt for those of us who need reminders to be grateful.
Iβve had access to clean water at the convenient turn of a tap for my whole life, though it was less reliable during the two years I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Kenya. That experience, plus 32 years in drought-stricken California, instilled in me a reverence for the life-giving substance that we in the United States so easily take for granted.
Still, I often forget to give thanks. Iβve been practicing in the shower, and when I wash dishes.
Sifting through photos of past trips, I noticed that water is a main feature of those travels. I bet thatβs true for you, too. Enjoy the soul bath! β¨π¦
I like to notice all the ways I am like the animals, the cosmos, and our planet. Just as Earthβs surface is approximately 70% water, so are our bodies. We are not just connected with Nature, we are Nature.
May your days be saturated with love and your soul, fully quenched.
