I often think I should make fancier, more complicated mosaic designs, but then I do another star. 🤓 I can’t help it! They’re so simple and sweet, and each one looks like a dancing figure.

This one, “Stella”, is crafted on the back of a 6” x 4” (16 x 10 cm) piece of unpolished marble. The star shape is made from broken tiles in a variegated blue-green-purple range, set in a background that reminds me of a gray-and-white pinstripe dress shirt (but of course, they’re broken striped tiles). It will brighten someone’s day as a thank-you gift, house-warming present, garden ornament, or just-because item.

This piece is one-of-a-kind.
