Your “Someday Retreat”
Pacific City, Oregon
October 10 - 12, 2025

I’ve noticed a few things in my 60 years on this Earth:
1) Life is uncertain.
2) We’re not getting any younger.
3) Our “wouldn’t it be nice to one day ______?” adventures remain eternally distant until we proclaim that someday is today.

Ready? We’re here for you!

Join us this fall in beautiful Pacific City, Oregon for the creative getaway you’ve been dreaming of. Invite a friend, partner or family member to share the experience with you, or sign up on your own. Either way, you’ll be welcomed into a community of people who, like you, understand the value of slowing down to reflect, recharge, and reconnect.

Our theme: Art Journaling

In five hands-on sessions over three days, you’ll be guided through simple doodling, drawing, and watercolor exercises designed to liberate your innate imagination and deepen your observation skills. You’ll also have down time built in to walk on the beach, nap, or explore a lovely corner of this planet. Aaahhhhhh.

Who’s it for?

Who would want to spend a relaxing weekend with art supplies in your hands, away from the news and the hustle-bustle, surrounded by like-minded souls and ocean vistas? Is that the question?

This weekend retreat is for people just like you who are looking to deepen your connections with Nature and your creativity, and to explore simple art materials and practices—activities you can easily continue when you re-enter regular life.

You do not need to feel like an artist to join us on this retreat. All skill levels are welcome! (If you think you’re “not as creative as everyone else,” you’re particularly qualified to join us! 😉)

There’s no upper age limit, and teens 15-17 are welcome to attend with a participating parent or guardian.

(Note that only registered participants will be allowed on the retreat site. Please make separate arrangements for other family members who might be traveling with you.)

Who’s leading it?

All sessions will be led by Portland-based teaching artist, Pam Consear, of AllHandsArt.com. Pam has hand-doodled two books on creative health (Doodle Your Way Out of Stuckness, and Dear Beautiful Human); writes a Substack newsletter called Bravely Creating Together; and leads popular drawing, art journaling, and creative reuse classes in Portland as well as art-making events throughout the West Coast.

Pam is collaborating with logistics planner extraordinaire, Judy Rall, to bring you this event!

What to expect— the “flow” of the weekend:

  • Welcome Reception and opening art activity on Friday evening

  • Three guided art-making sessions on Saturday, including one “en plein air” (outdoors), weather permitting

  • Plenty of personal attention and individual work time

What recent retreat participants have to say:

“I love that Pam makes such a judgement-free space to create. It makes it feel so safe and welcoming to explore and play.”

“Thank you for an amazing art retreat experience! I loved all your words of wisdom as we played with water colors and markers… You provided a safe space in which to create and explore one’s creativity–very supportive.”

“Pam was great. She provided instruction and encouragement to create the art work. She provided workbooks to continue with this activity on our own.”
