Episode 33: Genius, Soul, and Snowpocalypse 2023

Greetings from the fluffy drifts of Portland. 🌬❄️❄️❄️

When I see the 23rd of the month approaching (“podcast day” in my world), I jot down ideas for topics but I also like to leave things open to whatever is occupying my mind that day.

Today, that thing is The Weather.

A little story from yesterday’s dramatic meteorological event (the most snowfall in PDX in one day since 1943) prompted musings about hardships, and how—as much as we try to avoid them or pin blame on someone else for causing them—they can lead us straight to the source of our own genius. And help us add soul to this increasingly soul-starved world.

Listen in and I’ll tell you what I mean.

Episode Notes

In this episode I refer to several ideas from Michael Meade. I highly recommend his podcast, Living Myth, for a take on modern culture through the lens of ancient stories and Jungian psychology. His words help me re-member things I’ve always known in my bones to be true.

In Closing

Since my brain is truly in “snow day!” mode, I’m gonna keep this short and sweet—like the podcast episode, which is less than 30 minutes long. 😉

Wishing you piles of love and a cozy place to snuggle,
-Pam
